Life with a cat

I am taking a soaking bath, and Millie barges in to hang out beside me on the fluffy shag bathmat. She leaps up onto the wall of the tub -- astonishingly silently for such a butterball -- to sniff the water, but does not quite fall in. She does knock my entire magazine into the water, however, rendering it unreadable for the night. I shoo her off before she can step onto the toilet. She plants both feet on the mat, drapes her paws over the side of the tub, and yowls at me.

Someone is due for a bath, and she might get it sooner than she thinks!
